Board to Board Connector
Industrial, IT Datacom
This male board-to-board connector adopts proprietary X/Y bidirectional floating structure with ±0.5mm permissible positional compensation. It effectively offsets cumulative dimensional deviations generated during PCB stencil fabrication, housing molding and finished product assembly on mass-production lines. Unlike rigid fixed-position DIP alternatives, the floating construction releases mechanical stress between mated boards to prevent cracked PCB pads or bent terminal pins during automated assembly. Through-hole DIP soldering further locks the connector onto substrate firmly to resist vibration loosening in mobile or shock-prone electronic equipment.
Two standardized mating height variants are available to match distinct internal stacking space of end-device housings, detailed specification reference as below:
Standard Mating Height | H1 Dimension | H2 Dimension | H3 Dimension | H4 Dimension |
|---|---|---|---|---|
14.0 mm | 12.85 mm | 8.00 mm | 6.00 mm | 14.00 mm |
19.0 mm | 17.85 mm | 13.00 mm | 6.00 mm | 19.00 mm |
Engineers can pick proper mating height according to inner cavity height of finished products without modifying core PCB routing layout, shortening project redesign cycle drastically.
CONSHARE selects flame-retardant black LCP material complying with UL94-V0 certification for insulator molding. The formulation enables short-term peak temperature resistance up to 265°C during wave soldering and reflow processing without housing warpage or dimensional shrinkage, meanwhile sustaining stable performance across -40°C ~ +125°C continuous operating temperature range. This wide thermal tolerance makes the connector fit harsh ambient applications like industrial field devices and automotive onboard electronics with drastic temperature fluctuation.
Base terminal material is high ductility copper alloy to maintain consistent spring force after thousands of mating cycles. The standard 60PIN version is finished with 3μ gold plating on critical contact mating surface; multiple optional gold thickness grades from 3μ up to 30μ are configurable based on client’s corrosion-resistance demand. Specially segmented plating design is applied: full nickel underlayer across grounding area and localized flash gold on solder lands, which balances manufacturing cost and anti-oxidation performance. Passing 8-hour standard salt spray aging screening, terminals keep intact surface without rust or oxidation under moderate humid working surroundings to avoid gradual contact resistance rise over long-term operation.
This floating DIP BTB male belongs to a scalable product family covering diversified pin counts from 2×10PIN to flagship 2×60PIN, with four independent single-row pin length options (A/B/C/D) for flexible PCB layout adaptation:
Available Total Pin Count | Spec A Length | Spec B Length | Spec C Length | Spec D Length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
2×10PIN | 18.70 mm | 4.50 mm | 9.50 mm | 17.50 mm |
2×15PIN | 21.20 mm | 7.00 mm | 12.00 mm | 20.00 mm |
2×20PIN | 23.70 mm | 9.50 mm | 14.50 mm | 22.50 mm |
2×25PIN | 26.20 mm | 12.00 mm | 17.00 mm | 25.00 mm |
2×30PIN | 28.70 mm | 14.50 mm | 19.50 mm | 27.50 mm |
2×40PIN | 33.70 mm | 19.50 mm | 24.50 mm | 32.50 mm |
2×50PIN | 38.70 mm | 24.50 mm | 29.50 mm | 37.50 mm |
2×60PIN(Standard Model) | 43.70 mm | 29.50 mm | 34.50 mm | 42.50 mm |
A standalone four-power-contact layout is embedded on both ends of the 60PIN version, separating power transmission path from signal circuit physically to minimize electromagnetic crosstalk and voltage drop for high-current power supply circuits.
CONSHARE’s internal hardware engineering team specifies optimized 1.6mm nominal PCB thickness matching standardized through-hole land pattern for this connector. Free downloadable official PCB footprint files are supplied upon inquiry to cut client’s prototype layout expense and reduce trial-and-error rate during initial board development.
Signal and power terminals are designed with separated electrical specification zoning to match mixed-signal PCB working logic. The signal circuit is tuned for low impedance transmission to preserve signal integrity under alternating voltage impulse, while reinforced power terminals are structured to bear continuous high-current load without abnormal thermal buildup. Classified dielectric withstand design avoids unexpected leakage current when transient overvoltage occurs, securing stable operation for precision control boards in medical, industrial and energy storage industries.
Guaranteed After-sales Quality Assurance: Every batch of finished connectors enjoys a factory-backed 6-month global warranty, all products go through mandatory salt spray and thermal cycling inspection before warehouse release to lower field failure ratio.
In-House Integrated Production Chain: CONSHARE self-operates precision injection molding and electroplating workshops, enabling strict real-time control over gold plating thickness and LCP forming precision compared with third-party outsourced manufacturing competitors.
Flexible Packing Solution for Automated Production: Tape & Reel bulk packaging is available as alternative option, perfectly fitting client’s automatic feeding production lines to cut manual component placement labor cost.
Application-Oriented Custom Tuning: Apart from fixed pin count and plating options, small-batch personalized modification on shell structure can be negotiated for specialized custom electronic projects.
Mainly deployed on industrial control core motherboard modules, lithium BMS circuit boards for portable energy storage equipment, clinical medical diagnostic PCB assemblies, automotive interior electronic ECU and central control boards for smart household appliances.
